Check out this animated video of the future Terminal 4 at JFK—this is what the newly renovated terminal will look like once we complete the $1.2 billion expansion in 2013! We’re adding nearly half a million square feet of space to the terminal, about a one-third increase from today. Plus, the Concourse B extension will have one of our largest Sky Clubs in our system, as well as nine new international gates (for a total of 16 Delta gates).
In the video you’ll see the building rising from the ground up, with virtual travelers walking through the modern concourse as it will look two years from now. The new terminal will help speed up your experience adding more capacity for check-in and consolidating the security checkpoint area. The state-of-the-art facilities will also include enhanced baggage handling operations and bigger areas for post-security shopping and dining for you to enjoy.
Be sure to let us know what you think!

I think that this will be a good investment. Many passengers will enjoy it.

Looking good; I’ll look forward to 2013.
I do notice, however, the the video of the proposed Sky Club has a staffed bar. I believe feedback on this site and elsewhere strongly favors the old Northwest-version unattended bar. Please reconsider; you still have time!! Thanks.

The video of the new DL T4 gates is fantastic. I’m sad to see the WorldPort go (my first flight ever was on a Pan Am LAX-JFK in 1991) but this is definitely a step up from the current facilities.
Do you have any updates on how T2 will be connected to T4 and how T2 will be utilized? I’m thinking the connections from the end of Concourse B to T2 will take quite a bit of time…

I agree, the bar should not be staffed. Sometimes the bar tenders could be moody or even discriminative according to the tips the guest offer. I hate that.

Great video and very promising new facility. It should be a wonderful change!
I would like to reiterate what CAK over CLE said about the SkyClub. Please, please, PLEASE reconsider the staffed bar for all cold drinks. Again last week I had a tight connection at MSP and wanted to just grab a quick Diet Coke. It was rush time at the MSP SkyClub and I ended up leaving the SkyClub and buying my Diet Coke at the news shop out in the concourse and then smuggling it into the SkyClub. As you probably know, it is hard to shoulder your way into the bar to even ask for a drink when the club is busy.
Perhaps you have more extensive customer survey data from some other source that is not consistent with the comments that have been posted on your various blogs. The posted comments make very clear that those who have posted hate the staffed bars. This is especially true for those of us who drink soft drinks and want to grab a quick Diet Coke or two. If you have more extensive data, could you let us know that your data shows that those of us who have posted are not representative. I can understand that might be the case. Otherwise, I do not understand this decision since Delta seems so responsive to so much other customer input.
Finally, again, great video and great investment in JFK. Thanks!

It is a good idea. But you can’t demolish the Worldport. It’s a part of history.
