Glad y’all aren’t forgetting us Android users (although since there are more Android smartphones than iPhones out there, esp. in the US…surprised the release order isn’t reflective of the market).
Two ideas for features in the next release:
- SkyClub locator (using GPS or WiFi location services). With the new hubs post merger, can’t just rely on the usual ATL map embedded in our memory.
- In Flight meal details (will the lunch in FC be a salad or full meal, etc.) so we can decide whether to grab something in the terminal or not before boarding
thanks, pmcary

Any word on a Windows Phone 7 App?

Our goal over the next few months is to start releasing mobile app updates for all platforms at the same time. We never want to leave our Android customers waiting!
The Delta app for Windows Phone is in the final phases of testing and will be released this summer.
Thank you for your responses!

Are there any plans to develop (or port) an app for WebOS?
The mobile site is very broken. Not only have many functions of the mobile site simply stopped working over the last few months, but it also tends to render a site of a different design than what it used to (there is now an obnoxiously large image of people camping at the top of the homepage). The “new” design doesn’t scale to the size of the screen. It also won’t let me access my future itineraries.
It’s really quite disappointing that since rolling out these native applications, the mobile site has seemingly been left to die. Quite frustrating for those of us that actually depend on mobile.delta.com.

Offer a paid upgrade feature during the check in process. I just checked in for a (dare I say it) Continental flight on their app that offered me this and I gladly accepted… so I figured I would share the idea with you guys since I like Delta better
Also, offer a “Move to SD Card” feature which is a win-win in many cases as these apps use less memory and thus less battery.
One last thing… although this one is a long shot, have an area in which a passenger can send a “thank you” to a Delta employee. Recognition is huge and feedback’s priceless. This way, you can set your self apart from other carriers by having this little, special thank you area that would help engage your employees to encourage passengers to use the app!

The “new” app left me high and dry after a check-in on Friday. While the last version would often fail on my iPhone 4 during the check-in process (before “setting check-in status” step/gate), the new one fully completed check-in, yet said “you have no saved boarding passes” (yet I had two expired ones just fine). Platinum desk? Nothing. Delta mobile support? No help (at least I wasn’t offshore DTS support. Nearly missed my flight and the app was zero help.

How about a Windows Phone 7 app?
