Update:
We’re excited to share that installations are complete at our hubs in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Detroit, Memphis and Minneapolis/St. Paul. Our top 3 project locations–Atlanta, Detroit and Minneapolis/St. Paul–now have 657 units installed. Overall, about 903 units or 75% of the project is complete!
Fun fact: In Atlanta, we ran more than 2 miles of conduit and more than 20 miles of wiring.

We know that with each electronic device you travel with comes an added challenge when you’re at the airport–finding a place to re-charge! That’s why beginning today and continuing through the early part of 2011 we’re excited to announce we’ll be installing a variety of re-charging options for our customers in nineteen airports across the U.S. including all seven of our domestic hubs.
Here’s what you can expect to see:
- Two Delta re-charging stations at each passenger gate area
- Each station features six standard 110 volt outlets and two USB ports per station
- Recharging pads in all domestic Delta Sky Club locations designed for smartphones and mobile devices (many locations already have these—just check at the reception desk for your preferred adapter!)
Gate area re-charging stations will be installed in the following cities soon: Atlanta, Cincinnati, Detroit, Memphis, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York-JFK and Salt Lake City as well as Boston, Columbus, OH; Hartford, CT; Indianapolis; Los Angeles; Nashville; Norfolk, VA; Omaha, NE; Pittsburgh, Portland, OR; Seattle and St. Louis.
These updates are part of our $2 billion overall investment to improve our airport facilities, aircraft fleets and onboard services through 2013, and another great example of how we’re working to create a better airline and bring you a better travel experience!
We’re excited to hear what you think about our latest additions. What other things would be helpful while you’re at the airport?
Plug in and enjoy!

This is really nice to get a final charge before getting on the plane!

Please add these power poles to the Sky Clubs. I am lost as to how you could completely remodel the LAX Sky Club and not include power options.
Most people use Sky Clubs to catch up on email and phone calls. A simple seat with a swing out laptop table and a power port would be perfect for the Sky Clubs.

This is great news.
What next – how about better information on departure status and security lines so I can keep my freedom for as long as possible ?

Nice feature…thanks for thinking of Columbus, too!

Great feature, will be very helpful. Question though; what about MCI in Kansas City, KS? I believe this is one of Delta’s Hubs. Maybe a consideration for more of these stations would be to furnish all your Hubs with this feature.

Good start…but not enough!

This is really great. Well done!
Now, if you could do the same in the SkyClubs, that would also benefit those of us who purchase that product from Delta. As you know, club rooms are often extremely crowded. As a result, it can be very difficult to get access to one of the few electrical outlets.
Thanks!

Great feature, glad that the SkyClub in MIA had it last week with the delays. No cords, was easy for them and allowed me to not miss a beat despite a cancellation and then 2 hour delay.
Agree, SkyClub needs more locations to charge.
From the turn off electronic devices to this picture, Jacob is officially the electronics guy for Delta.

This is GREAT! One suggestion would be to put them in bag carousel areas so we can charge up while waiting for bags (or arriving passengers) and ready to hit the road in case we were not on a flight with power and are running low.

This is great, hopefully Delta will keep thinking of great ways to keep passengers happy!

Any chance that Milwaukee will receive a remodeling at some point? It is really time and there are alot of loyal Delta flyers there.

I’m sure this has been asked before, but is there any chance for a Sky Club in John Wayne Airport Orange County, CA? United and American boht have one. SNA is my home airport and it would be nice.
