P.S. OH MY GOD I just realized this "blog" is about the OLD Web site. How I wish we still had it, much less cluttered. What did you do with the latest Web site, try to make it look like Windows 8? Talk about a waste of design time.

FUNCTIONALITY is key! Better it looked plain and simple and actually worked, people. Grrr!

Very pretty. Very slick. Very modern.

But it's too demanding on public (especially free) WiFi, it shouldn't take minutes to load a page. Think about it, we're travelers. We're not always home on a personal network. Shared data is scant data.

Also there are glaring errors: I've had my "known traveler number" not transfer from the old site to the new site, and then when I entered it in the proper slot the site 'remembered' it not as a KTN but as a redress number. Now this may not be much of an issue but who wants to show up at the airport and have a problem with TSA because of Delta ineptitude? Who knows what else is happening "behind the scenes" that could affect a smooth airport security experience? Did this iteration of Delta's site get released publicly before all the bugs were worked out? Just a moment ago I click on the "comment" button and my usually-pre-populated email address information wasn't there. Again, a Delta web site error. What are the unseen surprises to come?

Also, I thought the iPad app was just amazingly cool. That is, it was cool until I got onto it during a flight, when it turned into a heap of junk. Can you kick in a setting that tells you to stop pushing paid WiFi access? "GoGo" prices are "StopStop" for me, and it's an affront to me to be repeatedly asked if I want to pay monopolistic fees. Let me tick a box that says "Don't ask again" please! I realize Delta is trying to monetize everything (no more complimentary video on the transcon long hauls, for example).

I await the day Delta installs small motorized shades and credit card swipe devices on aircraft windows so we can pay for the privilege of a view. And then what, a fee to use the jet bridge, others can walk the tarmac and climb a ladder? But enough is enough, it's my iPad, I don't care to be interrupted at every touch with a "would you like to pay for that? or do you want to stay with restricted access?" message. Again, we're talking shared data, GoGo inflight is SLOOOOOOOW and in no way worth the exorbitant fees. I made the mistake of buying a few of those holiday "special" passes, I was lucky to get signed in, let alone actually use the service. The regulatory authorities really need to look into this overpriced monopoly.

I'll just reinstall the iPhone version of your app onto my iPad, it also takes up less than a tenth of the space. Yeah, the iPad app takes up over 300mb of space; the iPhone version less than 30mb. Is the iPad app worth that bloat? Not to me. It's got needless video in it, for example. Another stupidity on the part of Delta management. As I tell people why I fly Delta: the pilots are great, the cabin crew awesome, the management decision... well, two out of three isn't bad.

I think that your new website is really better....
Except.... I cannot register all the details asked by TSA !!!
I type them, agree with the conditions, press enter.... and it's gone !
It's driving me crazy, as no one can help me with that !
I cannot call the US customer service as I live abroad, and the one I have in France is not able to help me !
My all family has this issue (but only me received an e-mail from you to provide these details)
What can I do ? Is there something special I have to do ?
What if Delta is not allowed by TSA giving me a boarding pass (I leave in one week) ? Do I stay home and forget my vacation ?

Can someone help me ?

Well, a week after expressing enthusiasm for the new site, I'm, back, frustrated by the inability of this new site to run reliably. Trying to book a transatlantic, multicity itinerary by fare class and by schedule continues to be non-functional (one gets a message that the system is unavailable or is returned to a list of flights by price rather than schedule, despite comments I received from Delta about the site working); last night I was unable to change a flight despite three tries - system not working, call a customer representative mesage; and this morning I am unable to check in or get itineraries for booked trips. Wow, what a bomb. Cosmetically pretty, functionally this website is a disaster. One should not have to work and waste hours on end to give Delta one's business. Your most loyal customers will take their business elsewhere if this keeps up.

So far, so good, on the website updating. I'm waiting for a better award travel engine - I hope it comes soon. As one other poster said, I would really appreciate the ability to buy legs of a trip by fare class on delta.com. I've been going through the motions of trying to set up a trip with low-class seats on the domestic portions of a trip and M or I for TATL portions. Right now, the only choice I have is to apparently phone and pay a fee to get this done. Those of us who are web-savvy should be able to do this on our own.

A great way to start Stacy: much cleaner, uncluttered website. Agree with Griffin; for the past month it has been almost impossible to book multicity intercontinental itineraries when speifying a fare class (M and higher) and searching by schedule without getting a "system unavailable" message or being kicked back to the "search by price" results which don't contain flights at desired times or routing. I know some would not like the idea of storing such info, but I'd love an "intelligent" website that remembers my preferred routings and times, or allows the option when searching to select "via which hubs?" (yes, I avoid the Northeast hubs/gateways in winter :-) ) Also, the old NW site often allowed online purchase of multicity itineraries not served by Skyteam, meraning it alowed combination of NW flights and non-Skyteam carriers. In all, the domestic reservation system works well, but the international multicity capability really needs a lot of further development. And please, please show us inventory on M or higher fares that can be upgarded with miles or systemwide certificates

I agree with a lot of the others, the new look is pleasant but the focus should be on fixing functionality.

Searching by price on trips to Europe often returns 20 hour layovers in AMS/CDG, and search by schedule results in 'System Unavailable.' Try to book an Oct 1 - Oct 10 roundtrip from MSP->TXL. Can't be done on delta.com.

Another thing that should be added is the ability to view past flights, along with e-ticket details and receipts for those flights. NWA.com had a lot of features like this that are lacking at delta.com.

I like the new look.
Please consider adding a logout button shortcut from the new front page because now you must be on the main Delta website to logout. Also I would like to see a shortcut on the Skymiles dashboard for marketplace where one can book hotels/cars using skymiles. It takes several click-throughs to get there (first you click on the dropdown tab Skymiles, then you click Use Miles, then click on Marketplace).
