At Delta, our team is always committed to finding new ways to improve your travel experience. In that spirit, we’re excited to introduce our new delta.com homepage.
It’s redesigned with you in mind to give you faster, easier access to everything you need to plan and manage your travel. Here are some of the great new features you’ll find:
- Easy Navigation: All of the tools you use most—from flight booking and upcoming trips to status updates and online check-in—are at your fingertips, right on the homepage.
- SkyMiles Dashboard: With the new dashboard, you’ll be able to see your mileage balance at a glance. And if you’re a Medallion® member, you can see exactly how close you are to reaching the next Medallion level.
- Top Destinations: Need a great idea for your next trip? You can now scroll through pictures of our most popular or newest destinations for ideas on your next vacation spot.
We know our homepage looks quite a bit different from the rest of our site, but don’t worry, we’re working on that. Stay tuned in the coming months as we continue to update our site!

Dear Stacey,
It is very exciting that Delta is redesigning their website!
Can you elaborate on some of the updates that you are planning to implement during the “coming months”?
Specifically I would love to see:
1. Added functionality to the revenue booking engine…it would be great if we could search by price and schedule at the same time! Also, all non-stop flights should always be displayed despite the price.
2. For multi-city revenue tickets, will you be adding price per segment so we can finally see the price as we go and not at the end of the booking? That will give your customers much greater control and eliminate tedious “trial and error” bookings to find the lower fare buckets.
3. Please consider updating the business elite dining page…it is very basic and unchanged in years…it would be nice to see enhanced menu descriptions based on Europe vs Asia detailing the multiple meals you receive on BE flights…much like your competition does.
Thanks!

LOVE the new homepage! Can’t wait to see the rest of the site as it evolves!

What a great new look for the Web site. I have to say that I’ve booked on most major airlines’ Web sites and delta.com is by far the easiest to work.
The main page needs a little login button on the top tab where you do the Skymiles Login. On the old Site you have to click fewer times to get logged in and then go to your Skymiles activity.
Once you’re logged in on the new site it doesn’t display your mileage with the link to go to Skymiles activity.
On the flight status again you now have to click more times to check on a flight, so it’s prettier but not easier.

The new look is very appealing!

Whoa….
It’s so refreshing to see a simplified, navigationally-friendly homepage. The look-n-feel of the homepage has just entered the 21st Century. Fine job, Delta.

PLEASE fix the award calendar before you go making the web page prettier. This is just one page that really doesn’t do anything… big deal. Yes, I know you are going to make incremental improvements, but I would rather have seen a rational award system first.

Please go back to the old web page.
I love the new one but it isn’t ready, it takes forever to login I timed it at 27 seconds.

Never launch a website that isn’t 100% finish and the new delta site isn’t even 25% finished.

Agree with all of the previous comments. Love the new look, but I’d love a more robust (and fully functional) award engine and calendar first — ideally one that allows us to perform online searches for partner awards beyond KLM and Air France, as well.

I second others’ comments on here, and I would add that the award calendar needs to display accurate results for both cabins (especially if booking one leg in coach and the other leg in business — currently, the engine often displays incorrect results). On that note, it would also be great when booking a revenue ticket to have the option to book separate legs in different fare classes (for instance, a Diamond medallion like myself may want to book an international leg in M class for a possible miles/cert upgrade, and a domestic leg in T class, as I may get automatically upgraded. Or one international leg in M class if there is upgrade availability, and the other international leg in T class if there is no upgrade availability. Just as examples).

bill3… I think I can answer your question. In due time, numerous updates will be coming to the website. It’s easier to roll out phases of a website rather than one big launch because of the fact that there can be kinks in the website that need to be worked out to avoid booking problems, etc. If I recall hearing correctly, I believe the award calender is one of the IT teams’ priority when it comes to the new website!

Great job, Stacy–love the new home page! SOOO much cleaner, while making it much easier to find the main functionality. Really like how you kept the marketing messaging in the top tier, but brought in rotation; simplified the marketing messaging below. Added social networking links/visibility. Kept all the functionality, but hid the forms not being used. Really modernized the design. Overall, really nice job–kudos to the team!

Thanks to everyone for your comments. We appreciate your feedback as we work to improve our site.
winkdaddy–We’ll certainly take your suggestions into consideration as we continue to improve the booking/shopping experience. In terms of booking multi-city revenue tickets, that’s something we’re still working on and we appreciate your patience as we continue to incorporate your suggestions into the site. We also agree with you that the BusinessElite content needs to be revamped, and we’re currently working on enhancements to the page.
FSUplatinum–Thanks for the compliments and feedback. The new login process is a bit different than the old login process. We are actively exploring opportunities to continuously enhance the log in / log out and the new SkyMiles dashboard experience (landing page after you log in). Also, there is a link there to Account History and other popular SkyMiles related links, or you can still look for those selections in the SkyMiles dropdown from the top. Additional site enhancements are coming.

I like the new look.
Please consider adding a logout button shortcut from the new front page because now you must be on the main Delta website to logout. Also I would like to see a shortcut on the Skymiles dashboard for marketplace where one can book hotels/cars using skymiles. It takes several click-throughs to get there (first you click on the dropdown tab Skymiles, then you click Use Miles, then click on Marketplace).

I agree with a lot of the others, the new look is pleasant but the focus should be on fixing functionality.
Searching by price on trips to Europe often returns 20 hour layovers in AMS/CDG, and search by schedule results in ‘System Unavailable.’ Try to book an Oct 1 – Oct 10 roundtrip from MSP->TXL. Can’t be done on delta.com.
Another thing that should be added is the ability to view past flights, along with e-ticket details and receipts for those flights. NWA.com had a lot of features like this that are lacking at delta.com.

A great way to start Stacy: much cleaner, uncluttered website. Agree with Griffin; for the past month it has been almost impossible to book multicity intercontinental itineraries when speifying a fare class (M and higher) and searching by schedule without getting a “system unavailable” message or being kicked back to the “search by price” results which don’t contain flights at desired times or routing. I know some would not like the idea of storing such info, but I’d love an “intelligent” website that remembers my preferred routings and times, or allows the option when searching to select “via which hubs?” (yes, I avoid the Northeast hubs/gateways in winter
) Also, the old NW site often allowed online purchase of multicity itineraries not served by Skyteam, meraning it alowed combination of NW flights and non-Skyteam carriers. In all, the domestic reservation system works well, but the international multicity capability really needs a lot of further development. And please, please show us inventory on M or higher fares that can be upgarded with miles or systemwide certificates

So far, so good, on the website updating. I’m waiting for a better award travel engine – I hope it comes soon. As one other poster said, I would really appreciate the ability to buy legs of a trip by fare class on delta.com. I’ve been going through the motions of trying to set up a trip with low-class seats on the domestic portions of a trip and M or I for TATL portions. Right now, the only choice I have is to apparently phone and pay a fee to get this done. Those of us who are web-savvy should be able to do this on our own.

Well, a week after expressing enthusiasm for the new site, I’m, back, frustrated by the inability of this new site to run reliably. Trying to book a transatlantic, multicity itinerary by fare class and by schedule continues to be non-functional (one gets a message that the system is unavailable or is returned to a list of flights by price rather than schedule, despite comments I received from Delta about the site working); last night I was unable to change a flight despite three tries – system not working, call a customer representative mesage; and this morning I am unable to check in or get itineraries for booked trips. Wow, what a bomb. Cosmetically pretty, functionally this website is a disaster. One should not have to work and waste hours on end to give Delta one’s business. Your most loyal customers will take their business elsewhere if this keeps up.

I think that your new website is really better….
Except…. I cannot register all the details asked by TSA !!!
I type them, agree with the conditions, press enter…. and it’s gone !
It’s driving me crazy, as no one can help me with that !
I cannot call the US customer service as I live abroad, and the one I have in France is not able to help me !
My all family has this issue (but only me received an e-mail from you to provide these details)
What can I do ? Is there something special I have to do ?
What if Delta is not allowed by TSA giving me a boarding pass (I leave in one week) ? Do I stay home and forget my vacation ?
Can someone help me ?
