I try to use seatguru.com to determine what seat type will be on which routes. Like you all I would love to see the 767-400's all with the lie flat bed configuration but it seems to only be on LHR routes. What I do is use the seat map to figure out the seats for the 767-400 flights. The 2-2-2 configuration seems to be the old seats and the 1-2-1 configuration is the new lie flat seats.

Korean Air has a nice feature at their web site. It allows a potential customer to determine which flights have which type of seating. It would be great if Delta did that. As everybody knows, business class seats on Delta/Northwest can be anything from a basic domestic first class seat to a great lie flat bed. It seems to be somewhat of a crap shoot trying to determine what seats will be on a particular flight. I have actually booked international business class flights in January and March on Korean Air rather than Delta/Northwest because nobody at the Platinum line could tell me what type of seats would be on the flights if I flew Delta/NWA. With Korean Air, the answer was extremely easy to find and caused me to book on the Korean flights that had lie flat seats.

First - great blog. However, as I read the many posts here everyone seems to refer to a specific a/c by "ship no". I usually use the tail no. so my question is; can I find a list of the fleet where both the ship no. and tail no. is anywhere online? Or maybe a friendly soul will share some info here.
Thanks in advance :-)

Mike-
The fleet is something like 21 767-400s, right? Are the other 14 going in for mods? If so, on what schedule?

Thanks.

Hi,

Looked at my numbers and added the numbers wrong, 770 is the number I got. An updated list would be great.

Thanks Chris

Mike - regarding the former Northwest fleet, what can you tell us about plans to install AVOD and/or audio and overhead video to the a319/320 and 757s? It helps that wifi is planned for these aircraft but a consistent product experience for the traveler, especially when connecting through the former NW hubs, could be a good thing.

Thank you for your updates!
