Installation is happening now of a new exhibit at the Delta Air Transport Heritage Museum. Red Tail Flying: Voices and Images of Northwest Airlines will feature a 30 ft. model of a Northwest 747 “red tail,” NW commercials and ads, and 4 cases of artifacts, including 1930s-40s pilot flying gear and airplane models to onboard china.
Here you see Delta Technical Operations employees hoisting the 747 model alongside our 767 Spirit of Delta in Hangar 2.

The exhibit is permanent, but we will be switching out the artifacts every couple years or so to refresh the exhibit and display other donated items.
By the way, Atlanta Journal-Constitution ran an article about the exhibit opening in yesterday’s paper that gives information on how to visit: http://www.ajc.com/business/content/business/stories/2009/05/19/delta_northwest_museum.ht
