Swinging into Spring
A little Delta golf nostalgia for all of you glued to the TV or seeing history made in person at the Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, Georgia this weekend.
Famous comedian and actor Bob Hope, looking very dapper here on a golf course, appeared on the covers of three Delta timetables in Winter 1967-68, encouraging vacationers to “Fly big to Florida” on our new Douglas DC-8 Super jets. The new stretched -61 model had 195 seats–60% more capacity–than our original, standard DC-8-11–our first jet in 1959.
