Hey Chris,
I am extremely greatful that at least something is looking up for someone! YEAH DELTA! I also like the other bloggers think it will be a homerun to have WIFI at the fingertips. Is there any specific routes right now that are already WIFI Equipped, or just certain planes? Also, will there be a speed differentials/compatibility issues due to the different types of wireless cards (ABGN)? Also, being a Frequent Flyer, I have noticed that you have ethernet ports. If you just wanted to connect with a cord too, is that going to be an option as well? Hope you had a great trip to Tel Aviv, Israel! I look forward to hearing from all of you soon!

I am so stoked about trying the new wifi. I think it’s really going to improve productivity and enjoyment while flying.

Chris are you able to forecast the availability, or not, on the regional carriers. Are they involved in this upgrade with Delta? I was asking a Skywest flight attendant about it and they had no clue.

You raise an incredible point. Competition should be taken care of first, then work on less-critical aircraft.

Just a quick question: is there any content-filtering present? I’m going to write a paper for my ITGS class about this topic, and I want to use that issue. I also need to interview a “high-level stakeholder” for the extension; one of my assistant scoutmasters is a DL flight attendant (he usually does French European routes from JFK), and though he hasn’t encountered the Wi-Fi yet he said he would try to get me in touch with a project manager. This could be exciting =]

I flew on a MD88 flight on Sunday from Boston to Fort Lauderdale, and the service worked great!!!! I was able to watch my Slingbox at home for almost 2 hours with no dropouts and a data rate of almost 1200kbps..

I was also on a flight on Sunday from Fort Lauderdale to Atlanta on one of the 757′s, and you could see the wi-fi signal, but the service was not set up on it…

Hi, though this is not wifi related, I wanted to chime in on Delta.

1) I think you guys are all doing a great job with this blog. I am work in social media in San Francisco and you have put tremendous effort into reaching out to customers and getting feedback via social media.

2) I had recently submitted a request/complaint via your corporate customer care email. A “Charles Noble” responded to me initially, but has yet to address my questions or concerns, only stating company policies. It’s been I thought your blog would be a faster way to get an answer.

I hope all is well. Continue to reach out to customers, listen to their feedback/complaints, and treat them fairly.
