Great ideas, everyone! Based on your feedback we've decided to link to this whole thread, instead of choosing just one. Check out the asset to the right here.

It just hit me - the connect-the-dots plane has the old/original widget livery!?!!!
Here's a fun idea - make a retrojet like you had with Ship 102 - but paint a 747 in the original widget colors. People would go crazy! :D

Good old Dusty, the Delta Air Lion (oy the puns).

He still lurks in the form of "Dusty's Den", the unaccompanied minor lounge. I spent a memorable summer in college working the Den on B-Concourse in ATL. We used to joke that the kids were "Silver Medallions in Training" (and some of them actually were!).

And as for posting the puzzles for the kids, you could make an argument to put all of them up on the website.

The younger kids could get a kick out of the connect-the-dots airplane, while kids that are a few years older might like the geography game or the hidden object game better.

Oh man, I remember the Fantastic Flyer days! My mom still has the "Official" Fantastic Flyer membership certificate I got as a kid back in '89.

Am I remembering right that there was a kids' pasta/spaghetti meal on some flights that had noodles that were shaped like Dusty, the Delta mascot? The talk about the juice other people posted popped that up in my memory.

TriStar Fan: You're thinking of the (in)famous Pawberry Punch made for Delta's Fantastic Flyer kids' meals. We have a couple of those purple cans in the Delta Archives. I'm looking at one now. Says it was 100% juice (grape, apple and cherry) with grape skin extract to give it a deep purple color. I never had any, but heard it was really sweet.

I miss the wings the stewardess use to hand out. The quality was so much better and they had pins so that you could actually wear them. Now they have a little piece of double sided tape that falls off before the flight is even over. Ohh the wonder of air travel as seen through a child. I remember going to Orlando and thinking how cool the trains in ATL were, now as an adult they just don't seem so amazing anymore.

If I had to choose ONE I would have to say the hidden objects. It doesn't take 10 seconds to complete (Connect the Dots) or necessarily require help from parents (Geography Quiz).

It would be great though if Delta could re-print actual activity books for kids. Keep in mind that if a kid really enjoys Delta they will make it clear to their parents. "Can we take Delta to Florida again Daddy?" = More business for you.
