I got to hear this new mix yesterday en route from Seattle to Buenos Aires. I have to admit this month’s mix just doesn’t groove for me. For some reason I kept catching the Sia song and it was just meh. Oh well… I had the on-board entertainment system library available so I could make my own playlist!
I have to say that in general I find your music pretty depressing. Most of the artists I have never heard of and they usually sound like they are in pain! How about something familiar?
How about something that will appeal to more age groups!
It’s a balancing act to find the right “groove” for boarding/disembarkation that is contemporary while appealing on some level to a massive global audience. Clearly not everyone will like all the songs every month as music is so subjective. Also, the music can’t be too intrusive as flights depart and arrive at all hours…a lot of the top 40 music out there just doesn’t work in a cabin setting…especially on an early morning flight.
Thanks for the feedback though…we take it all into consideration!
Chris-
Maybe it was the Diana Ross private concert I attended in Vegas during CES, but I think her I’m coming Out song would rock for boarding and de boarding. Just change the lyrics a bit.
“I’m coming on, get out my way stow your bags right away, I’m coming On”
I like the boarding music but maybe changing the genre? More Jazz, or just more instrumentals would solve the lyrics problems. =) Also, maybe make a Hawaii mix for those flights to Hawaii, because the Islands have a very nice mix of music.
Heck, just put braddah IZ on all Delta flights. No one can go wrong with “somewhere over the rainbow”. =)
Where are the February and March tunes? My girlfriend loved one of the songs on a ATL-CUN flight last month and I still have not been able to figure out who the artist is…

OK…so I’m in a pilates class last week and they play the boarding music on Delta when going to Hawaii…can’t seem to find artist…any ideas/suggestions?

So when do they actually play this music? I’m a platinum medallion, and I’ve heard it once. I think it was ATLSRQ.

It’s played from LA to HNL while boarding. It’s been a couple of years.

Hey Chris,
Where are the February and March tunes? My girlfriend loved one of the songs on a ATL-CUN flight last month and I still have not been able to figure out who the artist is…
