We began using Flickr earlier this year to show you more of our great behind the scenes events and snapshots of life here at Delta. In less than a year’s time our pictures have been viewed over 100,000 times! We do have awhile to go before we catch up with our record breaking YouTube Safety Video… so let us know what you think: How can we better use YouTube, Flickr and our blog to bring you behind the scenes info?
Above are just a few of the hundreds of pictures we’ve posted to our blog this year. The bottom left rendering of our Boeing 747-400 has been the most popular picture thus far. We have our favorites, but would love to know…
What were your favorite pictures of 2008? Check out our official Flickr account for inspiration.
And of course, thank you for your support this year. You’re the reason we fly!

As imagined, the 747 is the most sought after item. So, it’s cool-as-all-get-out!! My personal favorite has anything to do with In-Flight, flight attendant’s Inside the Cabin-related pics/articles.
Delta is the future of American aviation. Has any airline shaped the future of this industry the way Delta has since the Pan Am days?

The word DELTA needs to be bigger and more proportional on the 747. Come out with some more planeguage videos and play them on national tv as commercials.

i like the inflight things too, is it possible to post any older Delta safety videos on YouTube?

Hi 757flyer, sure! We’ll definitely try to post some of our older safety videos from the archives in the next few months. Is there one in particular you are looking for?

i like the one with the blonde lady at the end and then the Boeing 777 in the wavy colours flies by… hopefully you can understand which one im talking about.

Yes! I have asked before if the previous 757 video could be posted. Will this finally happen? =D

Hi 757flyer, we’ll do some digging and let you know what we find. Thanks for the info and request!
Jayo Z, yes! We’re still working out the legal implications, but posting our previous safety video is still on our list of things to do for 2009. Stay tuned!

Thanks. Love the 747!

Another idea: Posting some of Delta’s commercials from yesteryear. I am referring to a commercial when a little girl runs into the arms of her grandparents, looks back to a F/A and says: Look, I’ve made a new friend!
It’s the feeling from the heart that speaks volumes to whoever viewed commercials like this one. “We Love To Fly And It Shows”

Hi Jeffrey, thank YOU! Would love if you’d link us on your “Cool Flyin’ Links” section…
Hi TriStar_Fan and all, we hear you! It sounds like you all would like more archives posts. Marie has done such a great job this year posting every Friday. Should we blog about our archives more, like Coca-Cola’s blog? Is once a week enough? We’re listening!
January 7th, 2009 at 4:49 pm
Aw, shucks. Just give Marie her own section on the site. She (and cast of thousands) has lots of ground to cover since the Delta Family has quite a Legacy. It is worth it.
We just want the nitty-gritty stuff!
Posting once per week seems appropriate.
