It really depends on the TSA agent and if you feel like arguing with them.

I was at the San Jose Airport a year ago this mad had rice crispey treat. They took them from him.

I knew and the man knew they were allowed on board but instead of arguing he just let them keep it.

Personally I think they wanted to eat it for lunch or something.

Shani @2 Hey, as long as they're less than 3oz, you should be okay, right? You can get a lot of tequila shots into those little refillable shampoo bottles... only problem is the salt & lemons! ;)

More widely, I tend to stock up on storebought granola bars or similiar foil-wrapped stuff. I've had more than one customs officer look askance at me for (and in a couple of cases confiscate) homemade goodies. Bonus points if it's EU market stuff in 194371239 languages!

Hello TriStar_Fan,

There are currently no restrictions on food items, just liquids. So I won't be sharing any of my cocktail recipes ;-)

Place the airtight container in an easily accessible part of your carry-on luggage and you’re ready to go! (?????)

P.S. When did the TSA allow food in carry-ons that wasn't purchased after passing through the checkpoints?
