One of the great things about working at Delta is the ability to become involved in things outside your standard work role.
While QA of the Self Service Kiosks and delta.com is the daily role my team has, I’ve been able to put on my idea hat to work on the Mets Sky360 Club in Citi Field and the Sky360 Suite in Yankee Stadium. My part in this involves coming up with ideas to showcase delta.com and the Kiosks for visitors to these areas of the stadiums. We’re going to keep the experience evolving, so each time you visit you could see something different.
I have to add the disclaimer that I’m not from the NY area and I’m not invested in any team rivalries. Even if I was, the people we have been working with from both teams have been so great I wouldn’t be able to choose a side. Let me just say that the experience has been great. We’ve had a chance to tour the new spaces and I can tell you that, even with the construction still underway, it is obvious that both spaces are going to be a great way to see a game and check out the latest delta.com enhancements.
There’s been a lot of baseball around the office lately. We recently had a chance to play a game at Turner Field. I have to confess that we were playing softball, there’s nothing like walking up to home plate and looking out at 50 thousand seats as you get ready to bat, even if they are empty. This was something that we don’t get to do often, but you know who does? Medallion members. One of the great things about being a Medallion member is Delta sponsors events like this for our most frequent flyers. It’s a way to say “Thanks for flying Delta“.
Going back to the delta.com world, I wanted to let you know one of the things we’re working on is Check-in Enhancements for delta.com and the Kiosks. We’re going to implement check-in for large groups, make the Kiosks recognize you easier and other ways of getting you checked-in and to the plane faster. You’ll start seeing some of these during the 1st Quarter of next year with more to come.

It’s ok to admit you like the mets more than the Yankees! Everyone does.

Hey HWGeek! Not *everyone* does
I like the Yankees as a team. Mets are my #2 because of their location.
