The day has finally arrived! After flying to Santiago, Chile, today my wife, Carla and I begin an exciting two and a half days building homes for Habitat for Humanity in Casablanca, Chile.
This is my third build with Habitat and my wife’s first build. After an exciting weekend sampling the local cuisine, and taking in the view of the Pacific Ocean, the hard work begins.
We are more than ready to assist two of twelve families who are the recipients of the homes. Being a part of Delta’s Habitat for Humanity build is such a rewarding experience, especially meeting and getting to know the families who will be working beside us and eventually living in the homes. And having our new colleagues from Northwest Airlines join us makes this build even more special.
So now, please excuse me while I don my hard hat, tie my apron, and fasten my goggles, its time for the building to begin! Learn more about Delta’s commitment to build 12 houses for Habitat for Humanity this week and stay tuned here to our Delta blog for daily updates from Delta employees.
