Sounds daunting, doesn’t it? Delta has once again partnered with Habitat for Humanity to work on an international project, this time in Casablanca, Chile. This is a week of many firsts for us.
It is the first South American Habitat for Humanity Build for Delta’s Force for Global Good. It is the first build with members of our new Northwest family. It is the second build that two of our passengers have accompanied us.
During the next two and a half days, almost 70 Delta employees — including some of our own from our Call Center in Santiago, Chile — will build 12 houses for families in need.
And throughout the week, we will be posting updates on our progress at the build sites, and our experiences while in Chile. Many of us have participated in builds at least once before — we’ve been to Ghana, South Africa and Mumbai, India. And in the process, we do have opportunities to know more about the countries we visit. We will be learning about the Vina del Mar and Valpariso regions of Chile.
It is nearby, in the Casablanca Valley, where we will be building these 200 square foot homes for the families Habitat has selected. Stay tuned here for more updates.
We just can’t wait to get started!
