Ship #610 visited the most "Northwest" point (except seasonal FAI) on the domestic Delta system yesterday afternoon, arriving in Anchorage from SLC. Coincidentally, it was a gloriously sunny afternoon, albeit a bit brisk!

Is there a commemorative plaque on display inside the cabin regarding Delta's focus and cause in helping to find a cure for breast cancer?

For all who are interested, the pink plane has ferried to Marietta, GA for this weekend's airshow. I'll be there - will you?

TriStar_Fan - Ship 610, otherwise known as N610DL, made her first flight on October 6, 1985. She flew for mainline Delta until mid-2005 when she was transferred to the Song operation. Incidentally, N610DL never flew in the green Song livery, and was immediately painted in pink colors when it joined the Song fleet. When ship 610 rejoined the mainline fleet in 2006, it was again repainted into a revised pink livery, the one it wears today. Hope that answers your question!

Chris - Can you give us some history about Ship 610. In particular, why did DL choose this Ship as "Breast Cancer One"? I'm thinking it has to do with the timing when a 757 was due for a paint livery change and it just so happened that 610 was over due for the new livery. Am I on track?
