It’s hard to believe that EATS, our buy onboard program, is one (1) year old. Over the last 12 months, we’ve gone from serving four (4) markets with 26 flights/day to 500+ fights/day in 27 countries. This is all due to our customers! Without the support and feedback on the program to continually improve it, we would not have found such success. Our team is working hard to continue providing quality options at reasonable prices.
In commemoration of the one (1) year anniversary, we have designed an Anniversary Edition menu for the months of September and October. With this menu, we’ve brought back some past favorites like the Chicken Caprese Sandwich, California Salad, and Bagel (this menu’s selection is the Everything Bagel). A little nostalgia’s always good, right?!
I’ve been on the road quite a bit lately. Our team’s been in San Juan, Santo Domingo, Bermuda, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Panama City, and Managua participating in EATS presentations with the local kitchens. There are more cities to visit and more food to select for the upcoming expansion. Other travels have taken me to New York and soon to Salt Lake City and Orlando. Good times!
An exciting announcement which some of you may have heard about already is our partnership with iconic Junior’s Cheesecakes out of New York. Beginning October, we will sell the “little fella” on EATS flights from JFK to select west coast markets. Also, we’re considering boarding them out to ATL and a city in Florida.
We held an event at the flight attendant lounge at JFK a couple of weeks ago where Junior’s supplied six (6) different flavors of cheesecake. Flight attendants sampled each and selected the top three (3) which we’re putting onboard. The order they were selected to appear is:
1. Chocolate Crunch Cheesecake
2. Raspberry Swirl Cheesecake
3. Chocolate Mouse Cheesecake
A funny side note to this…. during our finalization of terms for the partnership, we discovered that the real name for the Chocolate Mouse Cheesecake is “Ebony and Ivory Cheesecake”. I toyed with the idea of a nice little theme for when we board this guy, but figured it best not to push for Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder in the boarding music and play off the theme in the onboard announcement. Oh well, next time….
Take care, and fly safe!

mmmmm, can’t wait for my next flight in November with you guys to order the chocolate cheese cake.
BTW I was recently in first class on my JFK to FLL and my return flight. I have to say Air Plane food never tasted so good.
In coach off the EATS menu, I like the Fried Chicken Sandwish, I just wish it were hot.

I am a big fan of the cheese platter. It is often better quality then anything you find in the airport.
