Curious if provisions will be made for multiple leg flights?

IE last week I flew from Anchorage, AK to Salt Lake City, UT to Atlanta, GA to Melbourne, FL. Would I pay $12.95 + $12.95 + $9.95 or would the initial $12.95 cover me for the day?

Bad Ad. The e-mail ad I received states: "Maximize your time in flight with broadband Wi-Fi". I think I would word that a little differently. Why would anyone want to maximize their time in flight?

I just hope it isn't similar to the way the ATL airport is set up, I know too many people who think they can login with T-Mobile or another service they subscribe to, and are hit with a roaming fee.

The price IMO should be shown before anyone connects.

Just like with all other pay-for-Wi-Fi services, I'm sure the prepay option won't be available. Instead, when you open a web browser, you will be directed to the Delta Gogo webpage which will prompt you for payment information depending on the length of flight. This is the way many companies have their Wi-Fi set up and it seems to be the easiest. This way, once you've purchased you access, you will enter a username and password more than likely to access the internet and utilize the signal.

Chris, am I correct?

:)

What will the upload and download speeds be?

Will the speeds in first class be faster?

Also where there be useage caps?

Will there be a required software download to use the wi-fi or will you just need to access the SSID?

Can people pre-pay for access when they buy their ticket?

Also if its a family with multiple computers will they have to pay full price for each laptop or will it be discounted after the first?

Well, it's good that finally someone has met the needs of their customers. I'm sure you won't have many problems involving inproper judgement when it comes to internet access, however you should act swiftly and professionally should something arise. Hopefully I'll see this service on Northwest sooner or later as well ;)

Divyesh605...this service is initially being deployed across the domestic fleet as the gogo service is only available across the 48 contiguous states. We expect the service to expand to include the rest of North America, including Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

golich17...Delta will not block or filter content or specific Web sites; instead we’ll rely on the good judgment of our passengers. We have policies and procedures in place that enable us to address inappropriate behavior, should it be necessary. In terms of limiting access to certain Internet applications, the only limitations we anticipate are the use of traffic management policies.

HWGeek...Q1 Yes Q2 Yes Q3 Not at this time Q4 No

ben...Aircell and Delta will look at package pricing and subscriptions but the service will roll out with the pricing structure as announced. Once the mainline fleet is complete, we'll look at the feasibility of offereing the service on select aircraft within the DC fleet.

TinFlyer...In-seat AC 110 volt power outlets are available at all seats in the First Class cabin of Delta's domestic 737, 757 and 767-300 aircraft. No special adapter is needed for these AC power ports.

Delta also offers USB ports to all customers in the First Class and Economy Class cabins on aircraft that feature Delta on Demand. These ports provide sufficient power to recharge small personal electronic devices, such as a mobile phone or media player.

Our MD88/90s typically don't fly more than 3 hour missions.
