		<description><![CDATA[Since I fly primarily from DTW, this is going to be a win-win situation.  I&#039;m so happy that two great airlines are going to come together to be one!  One thing though... I hope you name DTW the Delta WorldGateway at Detroit because Northwest calls it the Northwest WorldGateway at Detroit (i&#039;m sure Richard wouldn&#039;t mind since he opened the terminal).  I just cannot wait to see a 747 in the Delta widget livery!!!!]]></description>

I am glad Delta will remain Delta. There is still a lot of room for improvement but at least you are making efforts and we (the FF) notice. You even make us part of your journey of change (like with this blog) which is an excellent and precendent setting activity.

So I guess I am sitting on the fence. A good outcome would be that NWA dissolves into Delta, with equal standards of quality and service. Bad outcome would be that Delta&#039;s efforts are slowed down or corporately damaged by absorbing tired NWA. I wish you good speed, and count on all of you (with help and support from all of us) that the outcome is remeniscent of the first option and not the second.]]></description>

I was never a big fan of NW and would consider flying them only as a last resort, one question, though - What&#039;s gonna happen with all the Airbus metal they have in addition to the 744s? Would be awesome to see a big ol&#039; widget on the tail of an Ex-NW 744!!! But not so sure about the Airbus metal though... Weren&#039;t we consolidating our fleet? NW is all over the map... Including those awful DC-9s... Powerback anyone?]]></description>
