I love to see the expression on people’s faces when they look up at the Eiffel Tower, the awe inspired look when they feel it’s omnipresence. No matter how many times you view this magnificent steel structure in pictures, or on the horizon from anywhere in Paris, being there is the only way to understand why this is the most visited monument in the city.
My name is Jim Close and I am a flight attendant for Delta. I invite you to come spend a few minutes with me in my video guide to Paris. I will show you the world’s most beautiful city and why after flying Paris as my primary destination for the past 18 years, I am always excited to board a plane to the “City of Lights”.
What are your Paris trip tips?

I visited “The City of Lights” in 2005 and I must say that is one amazing city. So much to do and see, never a dull moment! The Eiffel Tower was decorated with “Paris 2012″ in anticipation to host the 2012 Olympic Games, which unfortunately was denied for London. All the museums were interesting and the restaurants were fabulous. Shopping was probably the highlight of the trip, as they have such a distinct fashion trend there. Anyone who hasn’t been there yet, go now! You will fall in love… and Delta can take you there.

Great video, Jim! I wish I had known to check out Paris Story when I was there. I guess I have a perfect excuse to return!
One really wonderful tradition this time of year (visit very quickly or you may miss it and have to wait until next year) is the annual lighting of the trees on the Champs-Elysees. The bright blue lights between the Arc de Triomphe and the Place de la Concorde look amazing at night. And they’re eco-friendly too!
