We’ve just recently remade the in-flight safety video! You’ll see it onboard very soon. Stay tuned, and I’ll give you all the details about filming and the cast (who were actual Delta employees!).

Yup, I’m one of those…
I have a gut instinct that it’s going to have the same flair as the DL branding that’s seen on T.V. commercials (besides all of the req’d FAA stuff). One can only dream.

We’ll post the new safety video as soon as it’s available. It’s set to “premiere” onboard our first 777-200LR next month. The first thing you’ll notice is that it’s not just the same old stuff…a boring industrial video with a boring monotonous voiceover. This time we worked with an LA-based production company to create something that is much more contemporary, human and infused with some humor. Even the music is cool.

Why is there a “Part 1″? Once the video is complete, is the finished product suppose to become Part 2? I don’t get it.

Yay! Thank god Delta made new safety videos. The old one’s were so boring and dull. Post one of them online, maybe the 777-200LR, that would be a nice gift

Part 1 refers to Part 1 of the blog entry. We’ll post some more of the story, additional pics from the shoot and we’ll premiere the new safety presentation here on the blog…you’ll actually get to see it before it’s on the plane!

As a former flight attendant I love the safety videos! I cant wait to see the new one. I would love for Delta to offer a DVD with all of the past safety videos….. and the new one too. Could this happen?

Creating a DVD is a great idea. I’d buy it and have it as an Collector’s Edition. I hope this can happen too. C’mon, Delta! Wow-us with another great idea from the minds in ATL.

Why was an outside production company chosen for the production? Doesn’t Delta have its own in-house video production unit that could have done it?
