Now that I am finally considering trying to redeem them for merchandise, I am first finding out now that I need to become a member of the MQM club in order to purchase anything!! Being that I don’t fly any where close to the amount that I used to, I have been told by Delta’s representative that all I can do is order Magazines!!! I am just curious if anyone has any clue on how I can redeem my existing miles for merchandise or am I stuck and is Delta just going to lose me as a credit card customer and a flying customer?

With the lowering of the MQM level from 100K to 75K there are now significantly more people making platinum. I fly DL 45+ weeks a year, and there are often 40 people on the upgrade list. The last two years, I have had 150K MQMs and I feel that I should receive some sort of additional recognition (e.g. Free Crown Room Club, automatic/immediate upgrades from any fare basis, extension of platinum status to other family members, etc)?
