Last week I returned from a 13-day cruise on Celebrity from Buenos Aires to Valparaiso, through Cape Horn and World’s End.
You know, our planet is a truly inspiring experience, and I’m so grateful to have had an opportunity to revel in the awe and splendor of some amazing, breathtaking natural wonders on this journey.

I’ve been stuffed-up in Atlanta far too long over the last couple years, and this adventure was rather refreshing; there’s too much to see to stay home all the time!
My co-worker and travel buddy, Chris, joined me on this trip, and he’ll be giving you the full writeup soon. In the meantime, I’m going to let the photo album do most of the talking.
Here are the albums from each destination:
- Buenos Aires, Argentina
- Montevideo, Uruguay
- Puerto Madryn, Argentina
- Cape Horn, Chile
- Ushuaia, Argentina (World’s End)
- Punta Arenas, Chile
- Puerto Montt, Chile
- Valparaiso, Chile
- Santiago, Chile
I definitely want to go back to Ushuaia. It’s an enchanting, frosty paradise with some amazing sites.
Some of you requested postcards, and I did get a chance to send out a handful. Glad to see our friends over at Jaunted.com got one!
So where to next? Definitely planning on hitting up Cairo this year and would love to do an Antarctica cruise. Stay tuned!

P.S. If you happen to be visiting Buenos Aires anytime soon, be sure to stay at the Hilton Buenos Aires. It’s fabulous and central to just about everything in the city. Oh, and they have a rooftop pool that overlooks the city, super cool! Check out the photos in my album of the hotel.

What do people that live in Ushuaia, Argentina call Atlanta? World’s beginning?

Thanks TriStar!
TinFlyer, hmm, not sure the local Ushuaians think of Atlanta as world’s beginning, but for me it certainly is…I can fly just about everywhere from here! LOL.
