Everyone loves New York. I just got to visit twice in the last two weeks, and I fall in love with that city more each time. And Delta is no different. Delta [hearts] NYC too.
With so much new service through JFK and LGA airports these days, we decided to build a page on delta.com just for all things out of New York. Check out all New York flights – current airfare deals out of LGA and JFK and last minute weekend deals on the page. Or subscribe to our RSS feed on the page, and get airfare deals delivered straight to your favorite page.
You’ll also find top, nonstop destinations out of New York, airport maps, special NY events, premium check-in benefits, and our favorite lounge Crown Room Club locations.
My big question – to make this a great & useful page for all you New Yorkers – what’s the best or most useful part of the page for you now? What would you want to see on the page? Let us know.

What will happen to another NYC page that I saw on delta.com? I’m referring to the link that is posted below:

How about adding a Times Square livecam to the page? That will help create stickiness, would it not?

What would be really helpful is if Delta could adopt the use of the NYC moniker on its website. This generally stands for “New York City- All Airports” and would allow Delta.com to search all three airports at once for the best fares and/or schedules. As it stands now, if you want to compare fares, you have to re-enter the three letter code for each airport and go through the process individually.
There are similar codes for other markets that have more than one major airport: Los Angeles (QLA), London (LON), and Chicago (CHI) come to mind off the top of my head.
This would be a HUGE help for me.

It would be great if we could get a page like this for Los Angeles (and I’m sure other markets would love it to).

JereNYC – I understand your point here but there is a way to currently search all NYC airports. When searching for a flight, select the radio button that says: Search more airports…then you can select a distance from the current airport that you are searching (example JFK). This option gives you the flexibility to search airports from a 0 to 100 mile radius.
You can’t use this option from the homepage but it is available from the main flight search page found here: http://www.delta.com/booking/searchFlights.do
Hope this helps.

What would be cool is have a page for every destination that you serve with XX number of routes or more. You would sort of create an online version of Frommers, except even better, DELTA!

I personally would like to see an update about work being done on / at the JFK terminal. The terminal is severely outdated. This is not a knock on Delta, I personally love the Delta Product but the impression of the JFK terminal does not give the impression to me (at least ) that Delta is the leading transatlantic carrier.
The last time I flew Delta out of JFK, I had to walk across the road and up the road the leads to ticketing, from riding Airtran. Walking from Airtran into general Delta ticketing is not safe.
Thanks!

Happy New Year! Thanks for everyone’s comments…
TriStar_Fan: Our NY Getaway page talks more to folks traveling to NY while this page is trying to pull everything together for NYer traveling out of NY. We’ll expand the content on these destinations. More to come…
JealTrojan: We do have a similar page for LA folks – not as robust – but hoping to expand this concept if people find a ‘portal’ page like this NY one useful. Drop a comment and let me know what you’d want to see on the LA page. http://www.delta.com/planning_reservations/plan_flight/destinations/new_routes/los_angeles_flights/index.jsp

A copy of the top section of the NY page showing the current best deals to destinations from LA would be great. They wouldn’t all have to be deals – though they’re certainly welcome – it would just be nice to see how much it might cost to take an impromptu vacation or trip.

JealTrojan – Thanks for the feedback. I’ll see what we can do. For the time being, get the latest deals (some from LA, at times) from delta.com pushed to your fave page through our RSS feed.

With the capping of flights out of JFK and EWR coming, I would like to see service expanded out of ISP and add them to the NYC page.
